Amaka Onyemaechi Chiwuike-Uba was born in Otolo Nnewi, Anambara State, to late Ebele Edna and Charles C. Okoye (Mgbo) of Egbu, Umuenem, Otolo Nnewi. The second child of her parents, Amaka obtained her primary education at Modupe Primary School, Folagoro, Lagos, Nigeria. She then attended the Igbobi Girls High School, Shomolu, Lagos, Nigeria, where she obtained her Senior School Certificate. She continued her higher education at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus where she received a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons.) degree in Marketing in 2001. She went on to complete her post-graduate studies, obtaining an MBA degree in Marketing from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus in 2008. Academically, Amaka was so bright and determined; hence, her decision to enroll for a PhD programme. Unfortunately, her sudden transition abruptly terminated that process and dream.
